The Expediting Operations Intern will be responsible for proactively reviewing and expediting international purchase orders in an efficient, error-free manner. The Expediting position is the first level of contact with customer vendors and AIS sub-contractors. The position will learn and is expected to become proficient with and act upon all sales delivery terms of purchase order, packing lists and other trade documents and related written communications accurately. Interns can expect to receive hands-on experience in various facets of the International freight forwarding and shipping business. Individual and specific job assignments will vary and may be temporary in nature.
Currently this position is a hybrid position with time spent working at the office, warehouse and remotely from home.
Estimated duration – June 2021 – August 2021
Hours are dependent on work load and performance primarily based on normal business hours of Monday – Friday / 8am-5pm
Unpaid Internship to start with potential to move into Part Time or Full Time Employment depending on performance and work requirements.

AIS Project Management Team and its colleagues visit Terminal Portuario Paracas S.A. in Pisco, Peru to monitor all logistics activities currently being executed by AIS for The Windfarm Project Parque Eólico Tres Hermanas. During this visit a number of management processes were undertaken to ensure that the project achieves its objectives as planned.
Advanced International Services (AIS) participated in the Third Conference of Renewable Energy held at the Swissôtel in Lima Peru. Mr. Juan Fernando Harada, General Manager of Advanced International Services Peru S.A.C, was featured as one of the guest speakers at the conference where he emphasized the role and Importance of Logistics when executing a Renewable Energy project. Also representing AIS was Gabriela Ramirez from our Peru office and Rosa Gomez, Tom Gillespie and Ignacio Leira from our Houston office.
Advanced International Services (AIS) plays a major part in contributing to Green Energy by completing the full logistical planning, transport and project management of the recent construction of the Parque Eolico Marcona, a 32MW Windmill Energy Project and the first one in Peru.
This very successful turn-key logistics project is the fourth Renewable Energy project completed in which AIS has provided its logistical expertise in the recent years.
A number of other Renewable Energy projects, Solar PV, Solar CSP, Wind and Biomass Energy are currently being executed at different stages or studied by AIS.

Advanced International Services (AIS) is pleased to announce the near completion of a fully Integrated Logistics Service for its first Windmill Park Project in Marcona, Peru. Cargo originated from various countries and was shipped to the ports of Puerto San Martin (Pisco) and Callao, Peru.
Advanced International Services has successfully completed two Photovoltaic Projects located in South Africa. These two projects Letsatsi and Lesedi are said to produce over 75 MV of energy. Enough clean and renewable energy for over 50,000 homes. AIS monitored cargo movement from China and Europe and continued to work on customs clearance and delivery to sites with our South African agent Freitan Logistics (PTY) LTD.
